Hi all,
Here is my calendar page for Susan's Monthly Calendar Challenge. The theme for May was "Say it with Flowers". My birthday, my daughter's birthday, my Aunty's birthday and my dog's birthdays are all in May too, so I decided to create a flower garden (the pic is not the best, but the best I could get!):
I love punches, but I usually only use them for punching out sentiments and accents. I have hardly done any punch art, but I could not resist trying this cute punch fence (I originally saw it here) using the new Jewellery Tag punch. I have been using this punch a lot on cards, I just love it.
I had to include my favourite flowers too - tulips. (I am looking at a beautiful vase of them as I type - yellow and red stripy ones, so pretty!). The tulips are done with the 2-step Bird punch, using the bird's wing. They are so simple and pretty. I first saw them here.
Make sure you pop over to Susan's blog to join in and view the entries, as well as check out her gorgeous work!
(I haven't done a supplies list for this one as there were so many! Once again my calendar template is from Cat at Splitcoaststampers, details here).
Genelle.
Hi Genelle,
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute, just love the picket fence (isn't that the cutest little punch?). Can't believe you've got lots of may b'days too, next year I think I'll have to start the May cards in january!
Have a great weekend,
Fi x

ReplyDeleteLove your layout. The fence is a fantastic idea and your flowers look devine. Thanks for playing. Sue
This is just so darn cute! Love the fence! Hadn't seen that idea before. Aren't people clever! (sigh) I wish I could "think outside the square" creatively! Love all your flowers! Hugs xxAxx
