Holiday Ornament

Hi all,

I haven't updated my blog for a while - but I've still been working and stamping each day. I've been updating my facebook business page, though!

You can find my page here: http://www.facebook.com/genellelittle

If you've seen the cover of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalogue, you'll recognise this ornament:

I chose to make a quicker version, and simply used the Ornament framelits to cut Designer Series Paper (from the Festival of Prints pack) instead of cutting stamped images, like the ornament on the catalogue cover.

Although it seems Christmas is coming way too quickly, I am so excited, and actually a bit organised this year! I've been running a Christmas Card Club since July, so I already have a healthy stash of cards made. (Contact me if you'd like to join in for October and November).

Happy stamping,
Genelle.

We ♥ Our Hostesses!

I'm back from the annual Stampin' Up! Convention - this year it was in Canberra! Here I am swapping outside Memento Mall (imagine a huge room, decorated with awesome Stampin' Up! decor and filled with lots of excited demonstrators shopping for exclusive Stampin' Up! merchandise!!).
Thanks to the official photographer for this picture.

While at Convention, we were bombarded with heaps of exciting new products and information, and also some great promotions! The 'We ♥ Our Hostesses' promotion runs until 31st July, and you can earn even more Hostess benefits! Contact me to book your workshop - or Stampin' Up! party, as they're now being called :)

Last days of Summer and Sale-a-bration...

Hi all,
Just a reminder that there are only a few days left of Sale-a-bration and the Summer Mini catalogue. Contact me if you'd like to order before it's too late, and choose your Sale-a-bration freebies!

I hope you like my blog 'facelift'... I am very blog-challenged so it has been fun to experiment and design my own template. I can't wait until we have Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio in Australia - then my blog will be absolutely personalised! (No, that's not a hint that it's coming... just wishful thinking!)

What is the reason for a bit of effort into my blog? The lovely and very talented Tina White has nominated me for a Blog Award - the Liebster Blog Award. "Leibster" is German for "dearest". This award is a 'share the love' arrangement, given to inspirational bloggers with less than 200 followers, to bring attention to their blog and increase their following! I have to pick 5 more recipients whose blogs I think you would enjoy. Pop on over to see what they've done, and you can become a follower too!

Here's what I have to do:
1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award.
Thank you Tina!

2. Link back to the blogger who presented you the award.
You can find the very talented and very lovely Tina here.

3. Copy and paste the award to your blog.
It's on the right sidebar :)

4. Present the Award to 5 other deserving bloggers with less than 200 followers (see below) and
5. Let them know you've awarded them the Liebster Award by leaving a comment on their blog.

So, here are my 5 picks for you to visit - these people are inspiring to me and you will love them too!
Angie Jones
Cherie Sutcliffe
Monique Fielder
Fiona Harrison
Shirley McAvoy

Thanks again Tina, and I hope you all enjoy checking out the blogs I have linked to :)

Sale-a-bration launch

Hi all,

It's been quite a while since my Sale-a-bration launch and Summer Mini showcase - we are already about to enter the final month of each promotion! However, I wanted to share some pics from the day.

These are some yummy Red Velvet cake pops to go with the Valentine section of the display. I'm definitely no Bakerella but these were fun to make and enjoyed by all.

This pic is of the gifts for attendees, made with the Candy Wrapper die and the Fresh Vintage stamp set - a freebie for Sale-a-bration!

If you'd like to host a Sale-a-bration workshop, make sure you contact me ASAP to book a date for March!

First Day of School - JAI

Wow, back again with another post already today :)

One of my goals for 2012 is to do more scrapbooking - I have mentioned it (or complained about it!) before... it's something I find very challenging!

Anyway, the fabulous ladies at Just Add Ink are some of my greatest influences in convincing me to give this a go, and guess what? They're having their first scrapbooking challenge, so it's great timing! You can check it out here and play along too.

I thought the Play Date Quick Accents and DSP would be perfect for recording my son's first year of school, and although he is going into Year One this year, and these products are now retired, I have only just completed this layout of his first day of Prep:

(I have added journaling to the Top Note piece; it was a bit personal for my son to want to share with everyone!). The background 12 x 12 piece is So Saffron (hard to see in the pic) and the layout was adapted from a Page Maps sketch.

Thanks JAI team and also to my friend Anne for patiently encouraging me to attempt to scrap :)

Happy New Year!

Hi all,

Wishing everyone a very happy, healthy, safe and creative 2012!

Here's a picture of some of my 2011 Christmas cards - they needed to be very simple so I could make a lot of each design!

Hope you are enjoying your first day of the New Year!
Genelle.
