March - Monthly Calendar Challenge

Hi all,

Well, I am leaving it super late to get some challenge entries in! This one is for Susan's Monthly Calendar Challenge for March. This month's theme was Autumn, and you can check out all the details here. Although I am leaving it really late, there might still be time for you to join in, but if not, I'd love to see you join in next month! It's such a fun challenge.

I can tell you that the upcoming Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue has some great autumnal products... which I don't have yet :) and I was wishing for them while doing this month's calendar page! I settled for the Lovely as a Tree set and attempted to add some Autumn colours to the branches. The calendar template is once again from Cat on Splitcoaststampers, you can find it here.

In my part of Queensland it doesn't feel like Autumn yet, everything is green and lush from all the rain and it is still hot and muggy. The nights have been cooler though so before we know it I'm sure I will be complaining about the cold :)

I will be back later with my other challenge entry - hopefully in time to play along!
Genelle.

Monthly Calendar Challenge - February

Hi!

Here is my February calendar page for Susan's Monthly Calendar Challenge. I am really enjoying doing these 6" x 6" calendar pages. This month's theme was Love and Romance, and you can check out all the details by clicking here. There's still time for you to join in!

I love all of the traditional romantic gestures (flowers, chocolates, dinner and wine) but one of my favourites would have to be love letters and cards! I have stamped my 'Sent With Love' Gorjuss Girl with Jet Black StazOn and coloured her with my blender pens, inkpads and white gel pen. My favourite dandelion heart stamp (from 'A Happy Heart') has been stamped in the background to tie in with the border. I also love rhinestones, so I have wrapped a clear rhinestone brad around the ribbon.

Supplies:

Stamps: Sent With Love (Gorjuss Girls by Sugar Nellie), A Happy Heart, Short & Sweet

Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, So Saffron, Whisper White

Ink: Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Creamy Caramel

Accessories: Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' Kit, clear rhinestone brad, Pink Pirouette striped grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, Calendar template by Cat, scallop edge punch

Thanks Susan for the challenge!
Back with another post in a minute,
Genelle.

Calendar Challenge - January

Hi again,

I'm having a great time creating this weekend - it's nice to have some time to stamp (and actually post it here, too!).

I was really excited when I saw that Susan Joyce is hosting a Monthly Calendar Challenge this year - the theme for January is Let's Party - Celebrate the New Year. You can check out all the details here and join in the fun!

I wanted my calendar to be functional as well as fun, so I have decided to make a 6" x 6" scrapbook page to go along with each calendar page. At least then by the end of this year, I will have done a bit of scrapping as well! But to start off, here's my calendar page:

We spent New Year's Eve away on holidays at my parents' place, and watched the early fireworks from their backyard, so I decided to use the little starburst from Hello Again to represent fireworks, and I've added some rhinestones. The colours were inspired from the fireworks colours on the night.

Stamps: Occasions for All, Hello Again
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, Confetti White
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Circle punches, star punches, chipboard numbers, sponge dauber, rhinestones, dimensionals, star button (given to me on New Year's Eve!), stamp-a-ma-jig, mini glue dots.
Calendar Template is from Cat on Splitcoaststampers, here.

Thanks Susan for a fantastic challenge,
Genelle.
